Reiki was first developed in Japan in the early 1900's by Dr. Mikao Usui.
In Japanese, the word "reiki" means "universal life-force energy". It is a simple and natural, yet powerful, method
of using this universal energy to assist in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.
It is safe and gentle, and can be used on everyone, including: pregnant women, children, the elderly, and pets.

Reiki is frequently referred to as "the healing touch", as reiki practitioners place their hands on or above the recipient,
whereby energy is then channeled through the hands directly to the location in the body that is in most need of healing.

and will generally leave you with a greater sense of wellbeing, both physically and emotionally.

No removal of clothing is required, as Reiki works with the body's natural energy,
